Dinner, decided.
KitchenSync checks your family's calendar, what's already in your fridge, and how much time you've actually got — then just tells you what's for dinner. You don't need more recipes. You need fewer decisions.
No spam. One email when it's your turn, and you can shape what we build first.
The hardest question of your day shows up at 5:45, every day.
By dinnertime you've already made a few hundred decisions — at work, in the group chat, in the school pickup line. Then comes one more: someone's hungry, practice apparently runs until 6:30 now, and the recipe you planned needs 50 minutes you don't have. So it's takeout. Again. And on Thursday, the chicken you bought for that recipe goes in the trash.
5:45 PM, live from basically every kitchen.
Here's the thing nobody says out loud: it was never the cooking. It's the deciding.
If you're the one who always has to answer…
Every household has a default cook — the one who carries the invisible job of deciding, checking, remembering, and re-planning when the day falls apart. KitchenSync was built for you.
Not another recipe app.
Recipe apps start with food and assume your week goes to plan. KitchenSync starts with your life — your calendar, your fridge, your actual Tuesday — and works backwards to dinner.
KitchenSync is not…
- a recipe library with 40,000 dinners you'll never make
- a meal kit — nothing ships in a box
- a calorie tracker or diet app
- one more thing you have to keep updated
KitchenSync is…
- an assistant that answers "what's for dinner tonight?"
- aware of who's home, what's in the fridge, and how much time exists between now and bedtime
- ruthless about using food before it expires
- able to re-plan in seconds when the day falls apart
Most planners plan a perfect week. KitchenSync plans your actual Tuesday.
Four things, once. Then dinner just… appears.
Show it your kitchen
Snap photos of your fridge, pantry, spice rack — even your pots and pans. KitchenSync figures out what you have (and what you can cook it in), and quietly tracks what's about to expire — no barcode scanning, no manual lists.
Connect the family calendar
It learns which nights are calm and which are chaos — practices, late meetings, travel. Read-only, never posts, never shares. Skip this and just tell it "busy night" instead.
Get tonight's answer
One dinner that fits the time, the people, and the food already in your house. Not feeling it? One tap for the next-best option. Missing one ingredient? It's on your grocery list.
Groceries, one tap
Missing items roll into one list, sent to Instacart, Walmart+, or Amazon Fresh in a single tap — delivery or curbside pickup, your choice. KitchenSync™ drafts the order; you always place it.
Four ways families actually use it
Photos of your fridge, pantry, spice rack — even your pots and pans → dinner from what you already have (and can actually cook it in), expiring things first.
Tell it you're wiped. It finds the fastest real meal in the house — and it's honest.
It reads next week's calendar and plans around it — not around a fantasy week.
Allergies are hard rules, forever. Preferences bend. Portions match who's actually eating.
What's the 6 o'clock scramble actually costing you?
Not in vibes — in dollars and hours. Here's the back-of-envelope for a typical busy family:
Where these come from: USDA and food-waste research put a family of four's discarded food around $1,500 a year; the takeout and time figures are honest estimates for a household cooking most weeknights. Your house may vary — that's exactly what we're testing.
Join the first hundred households
KitchenSync grew out of research with busy, double-booked families. Now we're testing it with real households before we build more — early families use it free and get a real say in what we build first.
That's useful too — tell us why.
An honest "no" shapes KitchenSync as much as a signup. Tell us why it doesn't fit your house.
Things you're probably wondering
Is this a real product I can use today?
We're building it right now. This page is how we decide what to build first — and who gets it first. Early access opens to the waitlist this fall, in order of signup.
Do I have to give it my calendar?
No — but it's the magic ingredient. Access is read-only: KitchenSync never posts, edits, or shares anything, and never sees event details it doesn't need. Prefer not to connect? Just tell it "busy night" and it plans accordingly.
What will it cost?
Early access is free while we build. At launch we expect $7–10 a month — less than one skipped impulse-takeout order. And if you do a 20-minute research chat with us, your first 6 months are free. There's a question in the signup form about what it'd be worth to you — your answer directly shapes the final price.
We have allergies in the house. How careful is it?
Allergies are hard rules, not preferences. KitchenSync will never suggest a meal that violates them — not as a substitution, not as a "just this once." Preferences (the six-year-old's war on mushrooms) are handled more flexibly.
Is it a meal kit? Does food show up at my door?
No boxes. KitchenSync works with the groceries you already buy. If you use Instacart, Amazon Fresh, or Walmart+, it can hand your list over in one tap — but that's optional.
iPhone or Android?
Both, eventually. Early access starts on iPhone; Android follows. Waitlist position carries over either way.
Get dinner off your mind.
Two minutes now, and you're in line for early access. The four quick questions below decide what we build first — answer them and you're not just on a list, you're steering. And every response is an entry in our 🎨 giveaway: five free 8-hour UI/UX prototype build sessions with the Synergies4™ development team — five winners drawn from all respondents.
Your spot is saved — we'll email you when early access opens.
One favor: if you know another default cook — the friend who always answers "what's for dinner?" — send them this page. Every signup decides what we build first.
